SALON GENERAL INFO FAQ:
Do you accept walk-ins? Due to the suite-style environment of Painted Hair Studio, we currently are by appointment only.
Do you have a cancellation policy? Yes! We ask that our clients give a 24-hour notice when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment. While we understand that sometimes "life" happens, we also have scheduled that time for your service, and short notice cancellations eliminates the ability to fill that time slot for another guest. Clients who cancel after 24 hours or no-show are asked to pay 20% of their service ticketed price.
How do I pay my no-show/cancellation fee? Every client at Painted Hair Studio has a "client profile" in our scheduling software; the software allows us to enter in clients credit card info and lets us charge the fee. If having us manually enter your card info makes you uneasy, you can create an account with our scheduling software and enter it yourself!
How do I book online? Click the "book online" tab, and follow the prompts to our scheduling software. You'll need to create an account with Rosy in order to online book.
How else can I book? You can book via online booking, calling or texting (980)-553-1178, or through our other social media handles like instagram or facebook. (both are @paintedhairstudionc)
Do you do discounts or referral programs? Yes! Every new client will receive 20% off their first appointment. In addition, any client who refers a friend will receive $10 off their next appointment. After referring 3 friends, you will get a FREE haircut with your next chemical service appointment.
SERVICES, PRICING, ETC. FAQ
Are the services listed the only services you provide? No, actually! Our service list includes services that are easy to give a "base" price. Other services that aren't listed on the "Services" tab, but that we still offer include: extensions, bridal, makeup, on-site hair/makeup. These services depend solely on the situation and client.
Do you charge for a consultation? No!
How are extensions priced? The pricing for extensions is solely based on the client. The client is asked to pay 50% upfront, then pay the remainder at the time of the installation. Pricing depends on how many packs of hair are needed. The price will include hair, installation, haircut/texturizing/layers, and style. Coloring, toning, removal, and "retabbing"/upkeep are not included in the original price.
What is a color correction and why does the price vary? Color correction is just what it sounds like. Correcting an incorrect color. There is a base price set, which should cover most product, and average time, however some color corrections require multiple steps to be successful, thus comes additional charges.
What is balayage? Balayage is the term for "free-painting" or "hand-painting". It is a method used to create a blended blonding effect. It can be subtle or drastic, but the end result is to ensure a beautiful blend. Balayage is becoming increasingly popular not only because its beautiful, but also because of its low-maintenance. Some balayage clients only need touch ups every few months... requires less time in the salon, while the grow out remains natural, blended and beautiful.
What is creative color/fashion color/vivids? All of those terms refer to "unnatural" hair. Think: pinks, blues, greens, unicorn hair, mermaid hair. It can be all over, "peek-a-boo" style highlights, balayaged, or hidden underneath.
Do you use olaplex? Yes! We recommend using olaplex in ANY lightening/bleaching service. We also offer stand-alone olaplex treatments to help repair hair.
Can I bring my own color, shampoo, conditioner, etc? Unfortunately, we cannot use any outside products. Your safety is our first priority. If you have an allergy, please contact us so we can find the best solution!
Do you offer refunds? Our chemical service policy does not include refunds. Re-dos are offered up to one week post-service. Exceptions are only if discussed via stylist and client. Re-dos will not be done if ANY alteration to the chemical service has been made by someone other than the stylist, such-as: coloring, toning, lightening, bleaching, temporary color, etc.
Good info for a new client: Bring a picture, feel free to text or message us about hair history, hair inspiration pictures, concerns, etc.
